Network Security Engineer: Full Performance Level

Inferno Systems, Inc. is currently looking to hire individuals for our Network Security Engineer positions. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience. Individual positions within this labor category have additional qualification and competency requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

The desired applicant for this position will have a solid understanding of network analysis, scripting/programming, CND, incident response and industry best security practices.

Required Skills

• Approximately 3+ years of experience from multiple areas (System Administration, networking, forensics, pen-testing, computer security).
• Motivated self-starter with problem solving skills, time management skills, tasking and a passion for computer/cybersecurity.
• Comfortable working in a command line environment with multiples Operating Systems.
• Comfortable with common scripting/programming languages to automate tasks and/or parse data (C++, BASH, Python, Power Shell, Regex).
• Demonstrated understanding of common attach methodologies, tactics & protocols.
• Experience with Splunk or the ability to learn Splunk within 3 months.
• Ability to learn and implement new technologies into work environment.
• Ability to decipher Linux and Windows log files.
• Ability to research the latest security developments in relevant operating systems to identify organizational impact.

Desired Skills

• Recent experience working with network security/monitoring tools (Metasploit, BurpeSuite, IDS, nmap, IPTables).
